Her Weekly Catch-up
Recently watched: Ryan and I watched Ricky Stanicky with Zac Efron and John Cena last night and it was pretty funny in my opinion! I may have fallen asleep towards the end but that was not because of the movie 🍃
Interior design: With the whole move and everything, I’ve been really invested into learning about interior design. One of my favorite channels on YouTube right now is Kristen McGowan. Her videos are the perfect length—not too long, not too short—and are very helpful when it comes to learning about designing and home decor. Some things I’ve learned are: the 3 foot rule, different interior design styles, and how to style an entryway.
What’s on my mind: I miss my siblings. Growing up with them, living with them, and just hanging out. My sister and I are four years apart but we’re super close. Not in proximity though. Currently, she’s in the Philippines finishing out her degree in music education, and I’m so proud of her for everything she’s doing. My brothers are much younger than me (I have an 11 year age gap with the youngest). I miss them too. They live in a different state than I do. As the eldest sibling, I feel like I grew up too quickly and left the house so soon that I barely got to watch them grow up.
Her Two Cents
In the 1% Better newsletter, Colby writes about how the consistency of his daily life has led to great results. But at the end of it all, will there be any cool stories to tell?
This got me thinking.
What stories am I trying to tell in my life? I don’t want to live a life where the days feel repetitive and all blur together, though sometimes, it does feel like it. Colby writes about two ways he’s adding more excitement into his life—through micro adventures and macro adventures.
My micro adventure for next month is going on a fun date night with my husband. We’ll be trying a new restaurant and going to a comedy show.
My macro adventure will most likely be a beach trip in the summer. Now that Mia’s a bit older and understanding so many things, I think she’ll enjoy it a lot. Plus, it’ll be Zayden’s first time at the beach.

A good reminder.
Good conversation starters to have in your back pocket during dinner time.
So stinkin’ cute! Perfect for spring time.
This reminded me of when I showed my husband a TedTalk I watched on a really great parenting strategy, and we literally had to pause the video so many times to discuss our thoughts. I love open discussions like these!
For my podcast lovers who are also moms. I got you.
I thought I was the only one.
Wish I read this article when I was pregnant. Saving for the next babe :)
I love a good decluttering/organizing task.
Another organization read for small spaces.

Question For You
What micro and macro adventures will you be planning in your life? Hit reply or let me know in the comments!
Hugs & tickles,
I have a routine I really like to stick to at the moment (I have three kids under the age of five, so it helps us stay sane) but I do find that there are small moments of adventure even in our quite repetitive lives. I find the stories in trying a new menu item if we go out to eat, walking a different way home, indulging in a spontaneous purchase etc. For my macro challenge, I'm currently planning my next career move for once my children are a bit older - it's taking some planning, but I'm enjoying the process!

My micro adventure will be to find new walking trails near where I will and my macro adventure will be my trip to visit my BFF for her birthday!
