I turned 27 this week. And while I usually like to list out things I’ve learned each year (like this one from the past), life hasn’t exactly paused long enough for me to sit down & completely reflect.
So instead, here’s a little birthday recap! 🤠
I kept it lowkey this year (but tbh I feel like I do that every year). I’m just not big on birthdays. Mainly mine. That being said, the two most common things I received were coffee gift cards and texts saying “hope you get some alone time.” And if that doesn’t scream you really know me.. then idk what does 😆
I also got my first espresso machine! A Nespresso because convenience is everything in this phase of my life. Plus, spending hundreds of $$$ on a fancy machine just didn’t feel like the move.. yet.
So far, I am loviiiing it. I haven’t quite found my favorite pod yet, but I’m making my rounds. Either way, it already tastes 10x better than my instant espresso (obvi), and honestly it feels like a little treat every time I brew a cup.
We celebrated the day before with a simple date night at an Italian spot in town, followed by a trip to Blake Shelton’s bar on the Strip called Ole Red.
Note to self: stay. off. the. Strip. Way too touristy for me lol
My actual birthday was super chill. Took the kids to an indoor playground, ran a few errands, grabbed some sandwiches at Jersey Mike’s, and ended the night on the couch with a good ol’ show. And there’s my recap! Nothing fancy, just the kind of slow and simple vibe I love these days 🫶🏼

Current little obsessh. This Chrome extension lets me grab hex codes from literally anything on my screen.
No more scattered wishlists. Found this new-to-me app that I love! It’s so simple and clean, and makes it easy to organize everything I’m eyeing for myself and others.
Still thinking about this. A viral af interview that had me locked in 🫡 the view count is crazy.
Okay but this cake tho. Not better than sex, but so freaking good & ridiculously easy to make.
For the in-between reads. I wrapped up The Tenant by Frieda McFadden this week and it was eh. Not my fave but a quick read/listen if you’re in a slump.
Okay, gotta go.. my Nespresso is calling. Same time next week?
xo, Millie
I have had a Nespresso forever and I love it too. I personally love the Bianco Doppio for lattes and the Peru Organic is a greatttt one but it's a single shot only. I haven't really dabbled in too many full coffee pods, just the double espresso ones. The new pistachio one for iced coffees has been nice too, I add a little maple syrup and it's a nice treat.
