Have you seen that trend going around where people say:
“The butterfly effect is crazy because what if I never…”
I’m not sure if it’s a recent thing or not, but ever since I saw it, it's been living rent-free in my head. Probably because I’ve been thinking a lot about the small, seemingly random choices that quietly end up changing everything. (End-of-pregnancy brain? Maybe.)
Anyway, here’s mine:
What if I never moved to Vegas at 20?
It felt spontaneous and random at the time. Especially since I had never lived in another state without my parents.
But it led to some of the biggest plot twists of my life: meeting my husband, starting a family, and eventually landing right here → writing this newsletter, changing multiple diapers a day, trying (but mostly failing) to stay on top of laundry, making homemade meals — and absolutely loving it more than I could ever imagine.
It’s wild how one tiny pivot can change your whole trajectory.
Maybe that’s why I love the idea of a multiverse so much (😅). Or why I’ve learned to give more grace to the “in-between” seasons — the uncertain ones that don’t quite make sense yet.
And while I wouldn’t say I’m in one right now, it’s a good reminder for future me (or maybe you) that maybe the butterfly effect is really just trusting that the small things matter, even when we don’t see the full picture yet 🦋
A few things worth sharing..
Hair inspo I’m saving. This edit by
