The secret to a perfect weekend? Less.
My Mother’s Day weekend wasn’t overly packed or scheduled — but it gave me exactly what I needed: solo time, productivity, a little peace and quiet, and a few sweet moments with my favorite people.
I’m calling it my Mother’s Day Reset, and honestly, you don’t really need a holiday to make it your own version. Even an hour or two can do just the trick.
Here’s a peek at what it looked like —
🥐 Friday: Solo Recharge
I kicked off the weekend with a solo breakfast, a massage, and worked on something totally new to me: drafting my first sample proposal and contract. I even got my nails done to wrap it all up.
🧺 Saturday: Home Energy Reset
With the kids at grandma’s, my husband and I went into full-on nesting mode — decluttering, organizing, getting the house ready, and even rearranging the car set up to get ready for baby. Later that night, we got some uninterrupted time together which is always nice!
🍦 Sunday: A Family Slowdown
A slow (and very warm) family day. I even took a mid-day nap (like a real one) and we ended the day with ice cream. Simple, but perfect.
What would your version of this reset look like? Reply & let me know! I’d love to hear what’s been filling your cup lately.
Maybe it’s…
Solo Recharge = a quiet walk, a coffee by yourself, or finally making space to work on something that lights you up
Home Reset = decluttering one drawer, refreshing your space, or some light cleaning (nothing crazy)
Family Slowdown = a game night, movie + snacks, or a morning spent at the park
Pick one or try all three. I promise: even the smallest shift can make the biggest difference.
