Hi, hello & happy Wednesday! How’s the first week of May treating you?
It’s baby month for me.. and shit is getting reeeaaal. The fact that we’re about to add another little human bean (yes, bean lol) is wild to think about — especially since we’re waiting until birth to find out the gender. Not that it matters, of course, this baby will be so loved either way.
But we thought it would be really special to wait. And because we already have one of each, it’s fun to think about who this little tie-breaker might be.
If you’re planning on having kids someday, or have one on the way, I highly recommend going Team Green. Here’s why:
It can help you save $$$ → Neutral clothing, blankets, and baby gear can be reused for future babies (if you plan on having more than one). And you’ll also be less tempted to buy cute-but-unnecessary impulse buys and more focused on the much-needed essentials.
It helps build patience & surrender → Choosing not to know the gender can be a practical way to just trusting the process and learning to let go — two things that parenthood will demand a lot of anyway.
It strengthens the bond with your partner → Waiting together adds a layer of anticipation and meaning. It’s a shared adventure, and that delivery room moment? Oof, unmatched.
It keeps things old-school (but in a good way) → There’s something sweet and nostalgic about how our parents or grandparents might’ve done it. Not everything has to be revealed or planned ahead of time.
It’s the ultimate surprise! → I cannot wait for my husband to be the one to announce “it’s a boy!” or “it’s a girl!” after 40 long weeks of waiting.
Do I have you convinced yet? 🤗 Let me know — especially if you’ve gone Team Green before or are considering it!

You can either be cringe now or later, either way you’re going to be cringe.
There’s something really special about having a ritual — especially when it comes to writing. A must-read by

And that post led me to this one about making Google Docs easier on the eyes — and I’ve been using the tips by
ever since. Such a simple fix, but such a huuuge difference.

on the radar
reading 📖: Finished The Wedding People. A solid 4 star read for me. Also feel free to add me on Goodreads ◡̈
watching 📺: The Righteous Gemstones & the fifth and final season of You
listening 🎧: This song immediately puts me in a good mood and has been on repeat all week
eating 🥣: Made French almond croissants (well, the filling.. let’s not get crazy haha) but still, chef’s kiss 🤤
loving 🫶🏼: My new emotional support water bottle aka a well-deserved Mother’s Day gift to myself
just between us
I wouldn’t call myself an oversharer, but my brain is never not thinking of 12 things at once. So I figured why not let a few of them out.
Normalize loading up a gift card for subscriptions so you never have to see it again (until a year later)!
Big win this week: after months of tweaking, stalling, doubting — my portfolio is officially DONE! And I’ve got a pretty exciting call lined up today because of it 🤞🏼
I started using the Apple Mail app and I kinda like it..? Especially the “Today” tab. It’s been
sort ofhelping me stay on top of emails.
To all the mamas out there: you’re doing amazing, even when it doesn’t feel like it. Sending you a big hug and an early Happy Mother’s Day! See you next week!
