When I first started Her Second Brain, it was mostly an experiment.
I needed wanted an excuse to consume content. I was already ~doomscrolling my life away~ so I figured... why not make it more intentional? Sharing what I found with others felt more mindful, to me at least. Plus, it gave me a chance to practice my writing skills.
At the same time, I wanted to dip my toes into the newsletter/email marketing space, just to see what it felt like. And on a more personal level, I wanted to prove to myself that I could actually stick with something. And I did!
Week after week, hitting send has been one of the best parts of the process.
I didn’t start with a clear niche in mind. I just knew I wanted to get started — so that’s why I began sharing stuff from my second brain. Over time, though, I realized that what I loved most wasn’t just the links I was sharing, but the emails themselves.
I kept finding myself nerding out over subject lines, template designs, welcome sequences, strategy — all the BTS things that make email such a powerful tool for connection (that a lot of people tend to sleep on).
So, after lots of time spent overthinking and decision-making, I’m saying goodbye to Her Second Brain. And saying hello to my new little project: Full Send 💌
It’s a weekly newsletter made for creative women who want email marketing to feel easy and approachable. Each issue will deliver one quick, actionable email marketing tip readers can use right away.
Since it’s a totally different direction from this newsletter, I’ll be starting this list from scratch. If you want to join me, you can subscribe here. First issue drops next Wednesday, Sept. 3!
Her Second Brain will still exist as a creative outlet/personal writing space, but it won’t be landing in your inbox anymore until further notice.
Thank you for every open, click, and kind reply since the very beginning. I’m so incredibly grateful for your time and attention. If you join me in Full Send, I can’t wait to see you there. And if not, I hope life is so good to you. <3
