There’s something about the end of the year that makes me want to hit the reset button. December feels like the perfect time to wrap up (😉) loose ends and step into the new year feeling lighter, more organized, and ready to accomplish new goals.
This month, I’m decluttering both my digital and physical spaces to start fresh. If you’re feeling inspired, feel free to join me — let’s do this together 🫶🏼
Here’s what I’ll be working on to end the year on a clean slate:
1 / Organizing My Pinterest Boards
Lately, Pinterest has been my go-to app. While it feels like a breath of fresh air from the noise of social media, it’s also a magnet for clutter.
I’ve had my account for over 10 years and the thought of deleting it and starting fresh did cross my mind. But that thought quickly passed as I realized it didn’t feel right to let go of the inspiration tied to my wedding, baby showers, and countless vision boards.
This month, I’m giving my boards a much-needed refresh:
I’ll be merging similar boards together and organizing them into sections (I love that that’s an option now).
Archiving unused boards that are no longer relevant.
Renaming and reorganizing boards to make everything easier to find and categorize.
💡 Take at look at your boards. What can you merge, archive, or reorganize today?
2 / Doing a Social Media Audit
I recently took some time to do a major unfollow spree. Over 200 acounts gone! This felt insanely good, and while I’m not quite done just yet, even this small step has lifted a weight off my chest. And no I’m not exaggerating. I’ve found in my life that social media can easily overwhelm me, so taking the time to curate my ideal feed makes all the difference.
💡 Try unfollowing 10 accounts that no longer inspire or serve you right now.
3 / Tackling My Inbox
Let’s not talk about email clutter. In November alone, I received over 600 emails. Eeeee not good. It’s time to take control. I’ll be:
Unsubscribing from newsletters and businesses that no longer align with my interests (no hard feelings, just setting boundaries!)
Actually reading the newsletters I love and want to support — I’ve fallen *extremely* behind but plan to catch up this month.
Checking my inbox twice a day (morning and night) to stay on top of things, instead of letting emails pile up.
💡 Set a timer for 15 minutes and delete or archive as much emails as you can.
4 / Decluttering My Closet & Pantry
This holiday season is perfect for reevaluating exactly what I need, especially in those areas. For me, that means saying goodbye to clothes that no longer fit, don’t get worn, or that I only like (not love). Also, my pantry is a complete headache right now. Things fall out constantly, and I keep buying duplicates because I can’t see what I already have. It’s time to fix that.
Decluttering these spaces isn’t just about creating room; it’s also an opportunity to give back (which is why it’s the perfect time during December). Knowing that your items will be used for good makes the whole decluttering process even more meaningful.
💡 Set aside a box for donations today and aim to fill it by the weekend. Then donate once full!
Your Turn
What’s on your decluttering list this month? An untidy closet, a messy inbox, or maybe your overflowing camera roll? Reply and share your goals — I can’t wait to hear how you’re making space for a fresh start.
Let’s end this year with more peace, less overwhelm, and plenty of room for what matters most!
♥️ Millie

I would also love an organized pantry along with my closet. OMG, it's so bad. We don't have enough storage and there are 2 piles on either side of the dresser that we just keep adding to. Something has to be done and that's on my short list for the end of this year. My inbox at work is also something I've been wanting to get more organized and down to zero every other day. I feel so much lighter when I hit 'delete all' !
